In his address at the Tarok Cultural Annual Festival in Langtang, Langtang North Local Government of Plateau, Yakubu Dogara, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, stressed the importance of unity for Nigeria to surmount obstacles and attain its aspirations of becoming a great nation.
Dogara highlighted that a unified Nigeria would be formidable, making any set target achievable through collective effort.
He pointed out that the nation’s diverse nature should be seen as a strength rather than a weakness, contrary to common beliefs.
Referencing the ecosystem, Dogara compared Nigeria’s diversity to different species coexisting in a symbiotic relationship, illustrating how unity can harness strengths.
According to him, embracing diversity and coming together would empower Nigeria to transform challenges into successes.
Encouraging the Tarok community and all attendees, Dogara urged them to champion peace and unity starting from their locality and extending it to the wider Plateau and national level.
