Former Governor of Sokoto State, Dr Garba Nadama dies at 82

The news of the passing of Dr. Garba Nadama, the former Governor of old Sokoto State at the age of 82, has been confirmed by the state government. Nadama passed away on Monday night, April 4, due to natural causes after an illness. He had taken office as deputy governor of Sokoto State in 1979 and assumed the role of governor in November 1981, following the untimely death of Governor Shehu Kangiwa in an equestrian accident.
