A tragic incident has claimed the life of Nasiru Abubakar Nono, a former Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly, in a car accident on the Abuja-Keffi expressway.
The sad news was confirmed by Buba Shanu, the former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state. Shanu mentioned that the accident occurred on Thursday, March 23, 2023, while Nono was traveling with a former House of Assembly member, Hon. Haruna Fada.
Fortunately, Fada survived the accident and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Shanu recounted, “He (Nono) died in a motor accident along the Abuja-Keffi expressway. He was traveling with Hon. Haruna Usman Fada, a former House of Assembly member, who survived and is currently receiving treatment.”
