Former Dangote Company Secretary, Chioma Madubuko, Passes Away After Battle with Multiple Sclerosis

Chioma Madubuko, a prominent figure in Lagos social circles and the former Secretary of Dangote Group, has passed away at the age of 68.

 

She succumbed to multiple sclerosis on Monday, June 1, at Reddington Hospital in Lagos after a prolonged two-year battle with the illness.

 

In January 2020, Madubuko resigned from her position at Dangote Company, where she had dedicated over 12 years of service.

She was an alumna of the University of Ife, now known as Obafemi Awolowo University, where she also earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

 

With over 35 years of experience, Madubuko’s career spanned legal practice, banking, manufacturing, and real estate.

 

Before her tenure at Dangote Group, she held positions as the secretary of NASCON Allied Industries Plc, Lead Bank Plc, and was a member of several professional organizations, including the International Federation of Women Lawyers, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, and the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria.

 

Madubuko is survived by three children and grandchildren.
