Five children killed in Katsina bomb blast

The tragic incident, which occurred in Katsina, witnessed the loss of five young lives due to a bomb blast on a farm in Yammama village, Malumfashi Local Government area of the state. The Katsina State Police Command confirmed the casualties and reported that six other children were injured in the explosion.

According to SP Gambo Isah, the Kastina Police Spokesperson, the blast took place at approximately 11:30 am on Saturday July 18. He disclosed that the injured children have been taken to Malumfashi General Hospital for medical attention.

The DPO Malumfashi reported the deafening sound emanating from the farm of Alhaji Hussaini Maikwai, after which the police promptly responded. Sadly, the explosion claimed the lives of five children who belonged to Alhaji Adamu of Yammama village in Malumfashi, and left six others injured, who were seated under a tree at the farm. The authorities have preserved the scene, and detectives from Police EOD and CID are currently conducting their investigation.
