Five artistes featured on Glo’s ‘African Voices Changemakers’

CNN International’s magazine programme, African Voices Changemakers, sponsored by Globacom, will host five music icons in its studios.

The artistes include Chike Osebuka, known as Chike; Damilola Afolabi, also called LAX; Candy Bleakz, a singer and rapper; Majeeed, whose real name is Ekeh Joseph; and Wendy Shay from Ghana.

Chike, a graduate of Covenant University, rose to fame through his appearances on Project Fame West Africa and The Voice Nigeria reality shows.

He later transitioned to acting before pursuing a full-time music career. As a Glo ambassador, he is known for his hit songs, including his debut album ‘Boo of the Booless’, which earned him the ‘Album of the Year’ award at the City People Music Award in 2020.

LAX, who holds a Master’s degree from the University of Manchester, initially started his career as a rapper in a group called Flybois.

Candy Bleakz, a rapper, kickstarted her musical journey in 2013 with her debut album ‘Blessing Sky’.

Majeeed, a Mass Communications graduate from Iscom University in the Republic of Benin, entered the music scene with singles like ‘Gee for Life’ and ‘Rocky Lo’.
