First Security Summit Hosted by Katsina in Collaboration with UNDP

The inaugural security summit organized by the North-West Governors’ Forum in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme is being hosted by Katsina State. Traditional rulers from the region have begun to arrive at the General Muhammadu Buhari House in Kastina, the chosen venue for the event.

Expected to open the event is Vice President Kashim Shettima. Furthermore, seven governors from Katsina, Kano, Jigawa, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, and Sokoto states are anticipated to be present at the venue.

Already in attendance at the security summit are the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Saad Abubakar, and the Emir of Zaria, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamali.
