Former Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has been officially signed by Fiorentina, the club confirmed on Friday.
De Gea, who departed from Manchester United over a year ago, joins the Serie A club as a free agent.
Fiorentina released a statement on their website which reads, “ACF Fiorentina has secured the services of David de Gea Quintana.”
The new goalkeeper will be presented on 12 August at 14:00 at the Wind3 Media Center located at the Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park.
De Gea’s tenure at Manchester United saw him claim one Premier League title, one Europa League victory, one FA Cup triumph, two League Cup wins, and three Community Shield honors.
