Former Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola, has expressed his views on the expectations placed on the President by Nigerians. In a recent interview, the former Minister in the Buhari administration emphasized that it is not within the constitutional responsibilities of the President to address issues such as water supply, sanitation, business permits, and rent payments.
Fashola questioned the public’s expectations, stating that these are not the duties defined for the Nigerian President by the constitution.
His comments have sparked a mixed response from the Nigerian populace. While some agree with his perspective, others argue that the President holds ultimate responsibility for the nation’s welfare.
