Explosion at Rivers APP secretariat

Early Monday morning, a dynamite explosion shook the secretariat of the Action People’s Party in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The incident, occurring around 1 am, saw assailants throwing suspected dynamite into the building, causing damage to windows, doors, and party property.

The attack took place amidst rumors of State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, considering a move to the APP due to alleged issues within the Peoples Democratic Party led by his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

Upon inspection, our investigative correspondents observed severe damage to the building’s ceiling and fittings. Party officials were also seen discussing the incident.

An anonymous party member labeled the attack as politically motivated. He expressed, “I received word of the assault at 3 am today. It is undoubtedly driven by political agendas as the APP grows stronger in the state. We urge the police to investigate and apprehend the perpetrators.”

In response, Grace Iringe-Koko, the state police command representative, stated she had no information on the incident but assured she would look into the matter and provide an update.
