Arsenal has made a significant signing with the addition of goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar, who previously played for Women’s Super League team Aston Villa.
Van Domselaar officially joined Villa in June 2023 and showcased her skills in 15 matches during her debut season in English football.
Having made her international debut back in 2022, the Dutch player has already earned 27 caps for her country’s national team.
She notably represented the Netherlands in the Euros of 2022 as well as the World Cup in 2023.
Expressing her enthusiasm, she stated, “I’m truly delighted to be a part of Arsenal. When you consider Arsenal – its players, the team dynamics, and the impressive stadium – it’s undeniably a prestigious club, and I am thrilled to contribute to it.”
Van Domselaar also shared her aspirations, saying, “My goal is to secure trophies and accomplish great feats, and I strongly believe that Arsenal provides the perfect platform for me to achieve both of these objectives.”
