Reports suggest that Alhassan Yusuf, the talented Super Eagles midfielder, is close to finalizing a move to the Major League Soccer (MLS) side, New England Revolution.
It has been revealed by transfer specialist, Sacha Tavolieri, that New England Revolution have successfully negotiated with Royal Antwerp, a Belgian Pro League club, for Yusuf’s transfer.
The 24-year-old is expected to sign a contract lasting three and a half years, with New England Revolution shelling out €3 million for his transfer.
Last season, the defensive midfielder appeared in 42 matches for Antwerp, managing to score just one goal.
Yusuf made the move to Antwerp in 2021 from Swedish team IFK Göteborg, and since then, he has played in 116 games across various competitions for the club.
