On his LaLiga debut, Nigeria forward Chrisantus Uche found the back of the net as Getafe secured a 1-1 draw against Athletico Bilbao in their first match of the 2024–25 season.
It was Oihan Sancet who opened the scoring for Athletico Bilbao just three minutes before the half-hour mark.
However, Uche leveled the playing field in the 64th minute to salvage a point for his team.
Playing the full 90 minutes, the 21-year-old showcased his skills on the field.
Uche made the switch to Getafe from the Spanish third-division club Cueta earlier in the summer.
