Excitement Brews for Boniface’s Return to Bayer Leverkusen in Bundesliga

Intent on leaving a lasting impression, Victor Boniface gears up for another season with the Bundesliga titleholders, Bayer Leverkusen.

Having moved from Belgian Pro League side, Union St. Gillloise last summer, the Nigerian international has set his sights on further success.

His inaugural season with Die Werkself was nothing short of remarkable, clinching both the Bundesliga title and DFB Pokal.

Under Xabi Alonso’s guidance, the team even secured a spot in the finals of the UEFA Europa League, although falling short to Atalanta with a 3-0 defeat.

Boniface’s individual performance was equally impressive, netting 21 goals and delivering 10 assists in 34 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen.

Reflecting on the achievements, he expressed his eagerness to replicate the success of the previous season and commit fully to the team’s goals, as quoted in the Counter Attack podcast: “We enjoyed what happened, how we made history and were celebrated by the club. And everyone that witnessed it wants to witness more. I’m ready to give 100 percent to achieve what we achieved last year, and I’m sure it’s the same for the rest of the players.”
