‘Every individual will have the chance to experience freedom in Rivers,’ affirms Gov Fubara

In Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has committed to offering inclusive governance that prioritizes the well-being of the populace. He assured that his administration would operate with reverence for God, aiming to engender pride among the people of Rivers State.

These declarations were made during a baby dedication ceremony for the family of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wordu at the Royal House of Grace International Church in Rumueme Community, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, held on Sunday.

In his speech, he stated: “Through the grace of God, we are entrusted today to oversee the affairs of this state. I view this role not as one of control, but as vigilant oversight, guided by the fear of God.

“I will oversee the affairs, mindful that one day, I will depart and be held accountable for how I discharged my role in watching over all of us.”

He went on to say: “The tendency to become consumed by power arises when one seeks to control. By adopting a watchful stance, I recognize that one day, I will step aside for another.

“Hence, I will exercise vigilance with a God-centered approach, striving to bring pride to each individual. My leadership will be distinctive, aiming to grant every person the freedom they deserve in this state.”

The governor, who made a N100 million donation to the church, expressed appreciation for the church’s earnest prayers. He attributed the strength of his administration and the bold implementation of impactful policies to this spiritual backing.

He reiterated that these prayers have played a pivotal role in advancing the development and progress of Rivers State.

“No human surpasses the power of God. Even the heart of the most wicked and callous individual is within God’s control.

“God steers hearts like water in the direction He desires. Therefore, it is solely through God’s assistance that we will continue to progress. I am confident that He will guide us to a successful conclusion,” he remarked.
