During Nigeria’s friendly against the Black Stars of Ghana, Bassey was unable to participate due to the injury.
Following the friendly, Bassey traveled back to London from Morocco before Nigeria’s subsequent match against Mali.
Reports from The Standard indicate that early evaluations suggest the injury is not as serious as initially anticipated.
Bassey has been slated to be part of Fulham’s squad for their visit to Bramall Lane.
