Arsenal have suffered a blow in their bid to sign Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna.
According to The Mirror, Calafiori’s move to the Premier League North London club is on hold and under threat.
Bologna and Basel are in a stand-off over the player’s sell-on-fee.
The Serie A club are threatening to pull the plug on the deal.
Recall that Arsenal had already agreed terms with Calafiori.
Mikel Arteta’s side offered the defender a five-year contract, which is valid until June 2029.
