Enugu state has released its second and only remaining Coronavirus patient

The Enugu state isolation centre is now free of any Coronavirus patients as the only remaining case has been discharged.

 

On Friday, April 17, Enugu State’s Commissioner for Health, Prof. Ike Obi, announced the discharge of the second coronavirus patient from the state’s treatment and isolation centre for COVID-19.

 

Following this, both cases in the state have tested negative for the virus and have been discharged, with the first case being released on April 16 as confirmed by the state ministry of health.

 

Prof. Ike Obi emphasized, “We urge everyone to continue staying at home, avoid touching your face without washing your hands, maintain strict hand and respiratory hygiene, wear a facemask as per NCDC’s advisory, and uphold physical distancing.”
