Enhancing Security Measures for Easter Celebration: Niger CP’s Directive

In preparation for a peaceful Easter celebration and beyond, the Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, has mandated the deployment of Police personnel and operational assets to provide comprehensive security coverage at all places of worship in the state.

Additionally, public places such as amusement parks and critical infrastructures will also receive security coverage to ensure public safety during this period.

CP Danmamman’s directive was communicated in a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, PRO, SP Wasiu Abiodun in Minna.

He instructed Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and DPOs to ensure an adequate deployment of assets and personnel to effectively monitor public areas and enforce visibility policing throughout the state.

According to him, the increased security presence will enhance public confidence in a secure environment for the peaceful celebration.

CP Danmamman extended Easter greetings to the people of Niger State, particularly the Christian community, and expressed gratitude to residents for their cooperation in providing timely and actionable information to prevent and combat crime.

Reflecting on the significance of Easter, he emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing crime dynamics within society, highlighting that by working together, communities can combat crime and promote a safe and peaceful environment.

He urged the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the police for swift intervention.
