An Italian woman, Domenica, has been reunited with her Nigerian mother after a staggering 34 years of separation, leaving many social media users deeply moved. The video captures the emotional and long-awaited moment as the lady finally finds her long-lost mother, with the assistance of an Italian man who accompanied her to Nigeria to serve as an interpreter.
The Italian woman’s mother initially had doubts about whether the lady was her daughter until she insisted on examining her back, recalling a childhood injury. Overwhelmed with excitement, she broke down in tears upon finding the mark on her daughter’s back.
”Jesus!!!” the ecstatic mother cried out as she embraced her child.
Discussing the circumstances that led to their separation, the relieved mother revealed that in 1984, her own mother, residing in Italy, had asked her to send her baby to live with her in Italy due to her loneliness in the European country. She shared that her mother sent documents to facilitate her daughter, Domenica Kofoworola’s, relocation. However, she later received news that her daughter had been taken away, with her mother telling her that she could only see Domenica after she turned 18. Despite efforts, including visiting the Italian embassy and attempting to travel to Italy, she was unable to locate her daughter.
The heartwarming video also captures the Italian lady meeting her other siblings, who embraced her warmly.
