The Emir of Rano has passed away after being hospitalized.
The late Emir of Rano, Tafida Abubakar Illa, has passed away. Earlier reports indicated that he was referred to Nassarawa Specialist Hospital after being admitted at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital due to an undisclosed ailment.
Secretary of Rano Emirate council, Sank Haruna, confirmed the Kano Monarch’s death, stating he received the news at 5pm on Saturday, May 2.
The 75-year-old emir, who is survived by two wives and 17 children, will be laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.
