Elon Musk responded to the vice president of artificial intelligence at Facebook after the latter questioned Musk’s understanding of artificial intelligence.
Expressing his disapproval, Musk wrote, “Facebook sucks,” in reply to a tweet by Jerome Pesenti, who criticized Musk’s warnings about the risks associated with artificial general intelligence (AGI).
The tweet by Pesenti that triggered Musk’s response stated, “I believe a lot of people in the AI community would be ok saying it publicly. @elonmusk has no idea what he is talking about when he talks about AI. There is no such thing as AGI and we are nowhere near matching human intelligence. #noAGI”
This incident occurred subsequent to a CNBC report featuring interviews with AI researchers who found Musk’s remarks about AI “inappropriate.”
Musk has been openly critical of Facebook in the past.
Earlier, in February, he urged users to delete their accounts, decrying the platform as “lame.”
