EFCC Urged Yahaya Bello to Surrender, Nowhere to Hide – Onanuga

President Bola Tinubu’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, has advised former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, to turn himself in to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a recent development, Onanuga made the call, emphasizing that Bello has limited options for escape.

The call comes after the EFCC announced that Bello is wanted for an alleged financial misconduct amounting to N80.2 billion.

The anti-graft agency has encouraged anyone with pertinent information on Bello’s whereabouts to contact either the commission or the police.

This declaration follows the ongoing dispute between Bello and the EFCC, with the ex-governor notably missing from the Federal High Court in Abuja earlier in the day for a case brought against him by the EFCC.

Onanuga, in a social media post, urged Bello to present himself to the EFCC and secure proficient legal representation, stating, “Yahaya Bello, there’s nowhere to elude. Your best bet is to hand yourself over to the EFCC and engage a competent lawyer.”
