Ensuring fair compensation for workers is a top priority for Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State. He has reiterated his administration’s dedication to the welfare of employees in the state, vowing to maintain salary levels that are not surpassed by any other state in the country.

Addressing civil and public servants at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy in Benin City, Governor Obaseki emphasized the importance of investing in workers to empower them for effective service delivery to the people of Edo.

He commended the workers for their tireless efforts towards the state’s development and highlighted the government’s initiatives to provide them with a conducive work environment and appropriate incentives in recognition of their significant contributions.

These efforts align with the government’s goals of advancing the digital economy agenda and utilizing technology for efficient governance.

Governor Obaseki emphasized the establishment and reinforcement of institutions to ensure the sustainability of e-governance reforms and other impactful initiatives within the state’s civil and public service sector.

He stated, “The future of Edo will be shaped by your utilization of technology. Our promotion criteria include training in technology, enabling progression to higher levels. We are dedicated to enhancing your working conditions and guaranteeing that Edo State remains a benchmark for fair wages across the nation.”

Governor Obaseki concluded, “I will continue to strive until my term ends to uphold the progress we have achieved over the past eight years.”
