Edo Queens face tough group in CAFWCL Qualifier


The team representing Nigeria, Edo Queens, has been placed in a challenging group alongside Ominisport Etincelle from Burkina Faso, Hassaascas Ladies from Ghana, and AS Garde Nationale from Niger in the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifier.

On Wednesday, the draw ceremony was held at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

This will be Edo Queens’ first appearance in the competition.

Group A consists of hosts FC Inter D’Abidjan from Cote d’Ivoire, ASKO FC from Togo, and Ainonvi FC from Benin Republic.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 10 to 23 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny and Champroux stadiums.

The victor will go on to represent the zone in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
