Edo Queens Coach Aims to Secure CAFWCL Qualifier Ticket

Moses Aduku, head coach of Edo Queens, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to make a strong impression at the upcoming 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League qualifier.

In Group B, the Nigerian champions will compete against Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies, Omnisports Etincelle FC from Burkina Faso, and AS Garde Nationale from Niger.

Commenting on the draw, Aduku emphasized that his players are determined to earn a spot in the main tournament.

Speaking to the club’s media, Aduku mentioned, “We have seen the draws and we are well aware of the longstanding rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana in football. We are heading to Cote d’Ivoire to play football seriously, with the sole focus on winning. Every team participating in this Champions League is significant, and it is crucial for Edo Queens and Nigeria.”

The competition will take place in Cote d’Ivoire from August 10 to August 23, with matches scheduled to be held at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny and Champroux Stadium.
