Ebonyi LG Poll: APC kicks off campaign rallies

The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Saturday kicked off campaign rallies for the Ebonyi State local government council election in Ezza North.

Speaking during the event at Ebiaji, the council headquarters, Ebonyi State APC Chairman, Mr Stanley Okoro-Emegha, enjoined supporters to work for the party’s victory at the polls.

The state APC chairman called for unity among the supporters and urged them to see the party as an indivisible family.

He vowed to make Ebonyi an opposition free state by ensuring that those who are yet to join the APC are brought into the party within the campaign season.

The party’s candidate in Ezza North LGA and Chairman, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Moses Ogodo Ali-Nomeh, said his administration would intensify efforts at empowering the people of the area in human capacity development.

Speaking on the plan by the state government to turn Achiagu Community Primary School to a College of Agriculture, the council chairman tasked stakeholders in the area to ensure the actualization of the initiative.
