Easter Celebrations in Delta: Police Deploy Operatives to Ensure Security


The assurance of a seamless Easter celebration in Delta State has been given by the Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, as officers have been extensively deployed throughout the state.

To guarantee a safe holiday period and beyond, the CP has instructed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Team Commanders to increase their presence and take proactive measures against crime.

Emphasizing on crime prevention, CP Olufemi mentioned the police’s focus on raising awareness and targeting crimes often seen during the Easter festivities.

It was advised for the public to stay vigilant, abide by the law, and collaborate with law enforcement in maintaining safety and combating criminal activities during the Easter season.

Additional personnel have been assigned to various Tactical Teams such as Dragon Patrol, RRS, CP-Decoy, Raiders Squad, Safe Delta, Safer Highway Patrol, Eagle-Net Special Squad, Crack Squad, and the Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Squad. Security will also be intensified at worship and resort centers.

Highlighting the commitment to intensifying crime prevention efforts, CP Olufemi assured that officers, working alongside other agencies, will be fully engaged during the Easter period and beyond to protect the residents of Delta State.
