A car crashed into a motor park in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, leading to the death of a teenage boy.
According to reports, the victim, Bassey Edet, was a vendor at the park and was selling puff-puff and buns at the time of the incident. The crash occurred on the busy Odigbo-Ore road on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the driver of the Toyota Picnic with number plate EPE 576DC was allegedly drunk at the time of the accident, speeding and crashing into the park, resulting in the death of Bassey Edet.
The presence of security agents at the scene helped to prevent further chaos.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested by the police, and the damaged vehicle and motorcycle were taken to Odigbo Police station. The victim’s body was deposited at the morgue in Ore.
