Prior to the World Cup final, Drake bet $1 million on Argentina to win the tournament in regular time. He shared the bet on Stakes through his Instagram Story, with a potential $2.75 million payout had he been successful.
However, with the game tied 3-3 after three dramatic late goals from French star Kylian Mbappe before regulation time ended, Drake missed out on the potential $2.75 million reward.
Ultimately, Argentina emerged as the World Cup champions, defeating France 4-2 in a penalty shootout.
