The assertion made by American rapper Kanye West states that his fellow rapper Drake has allegedly signed a pact with “the devil.”
West claims that the rift between them stemmed from Drake supposedly making a deal with the devil and straying away from God, who West claims to represent.
In a recent appearance on Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Like That’ remix, West shared that he contributed his vocals to the track out of excitement for what he describes as the “elimination” of Drake from the hip-hop scene.
During a conversation on the latest episode of ‘The Download’ podcast, West expressed, “It’s like he [Drake] signed his soul to the devil to not be cool with me. This is his job, to go against God.”
He further added, “Pluto [Future] reached out to me, I headed to the studio and laid down my verse. Everyone was buzzing with energy about the removal of Drake from the scene.”
West also mentioned that Drake has a powerful figure influencing his commercial success, referring to Lucian Grainge, the CEO of Universal Music, as his “rich baby daddy.”
“Drake has a rich baby daddy, named Lucian [Grainge] and Universal. He’s like, my daddy control the spins, my daddy got the DSPs,” West remarked.
