Diego Alonso chosen over Patrick Vieira as new coach of David Beckham’s Inter Miami franchise club

Inter Miami, David Beckham’s new Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise, has appointed Diego Alonso as its new coach, besting Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira and River Plate boss Marcelo Gallardo for the position, two months before the club’s debut.

Beckham, a major stakeholder and the face of the club, was impressed by Diego’s credentials and intellect, leading to his decision to offer him the role.
