Destiny Etiko Disappointed with Fans’ Excitement over BBNaija Amid Hardship

In the midst of economic challenges in the country, Nollywood star Destiny Etiko has expressed her dismay at the enthusiasm shown by Big Brother Naija (BBN) fans.

The ninth season of this popular reality TV show premiered on July 28, featuring 28 housemates grouped in pairs.

Despite the ongoing hardships, the show has managed to captivate many Nigerians with its entertainment.

Taking to her Instagram page on Monday, Destiny Etiko questioned the reason behind people’s happiness about a TV show when many are facing tough times just to survive.

She pointed out the hunger prevalent in the country and suggested that more attention should be directed towards addressing the nation’s challenges.

Her post read: “The situation in our country is critical, yet some seem to find joy in BBN. Hmmmmm, do you all still have enough money for DATA? Should I not complain if you don’t?

“My main worry lies with the less privileged. Your ability to make ends meet doesn’t apply to everyone.”

The theme for this season, “No Loose Guard,” promises viewers exciting surprises aimed at keeping them glued to their screens for the next 10 weeks.
