Deputy Speaker Kalu: Nigeria’s Economic Challenges not Tinubu’s Fault

Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, emphasized that blaming President Bola Tinubu for Nigeria’s current economic crisis is unwarranted. Kalu made these statements during a gathering at his residence in Abia State to mark his 53rd birthday. They come in response to questions from the media, where he defended Tinubu’s efforts to rectify the mistakes of previous administrations that have contributed to the country’s economic woes.

Kalu emphasized, “The difficulties we are facing today are not a result of Tinubu’s actions. They stem from a culmination of errors made by past governments in their management of affairs.”

He continued, stressing the need for support and encouragement for Tinubu’s initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable living conditions. Kalu also expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future amidst ongoing challenges, urging citizens to uphold faith in the current leadership.

Furthermore, the Deputy Speaker decried the disparity between the affluent and the impoverished, criticizing hoarding of resources at the expense of those in need. He questioned the rationale behind stockpiling goods while many suffer, advocating for a culture of compassion and support for the less fortunate.

In his words, “I prioritize humanity over political affiliations or ideologies, advocating for a society where those in a position to help extend a hand to those in need, regardless of their backgrounds. Let’s promote love, peace, and unity by demonstrating care and empathy towards all.”
