The Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, has mourned Kabiru Yusuf, a veteran journalist with the Radio France Internationale, who died on Tuesday.
Late Yusuf, who hailed from Kano State, was the Federal Capital Territory correspondent of the Triumph Newspaper and RFI Hausa.
He covered the State House for many years until his death.
Barau, in a statement by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Alhaji Ismail Mudashir, said the deceased was a hardworking and committed journalist.
He also acknowledged the contributions of the veteran journalist to the realm of journalism and education.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Kabiru Yusuf during this difficult time,” he said.
