Demolition of Kabaka’s Multi-Million Naira Hotel by Edo State Government (see photos)

Mr. Tony Adun, also known as Kabaka, has had his T. Latifa Hotel demolished by the Edo State Government for violating building laws. The structure was situated across a road in the Ugbor-Amagba axis of Oredo Local Government Area of the state.

On Wednesday afternoon, the hotel building was reduced to rubbles following the vacation of an injunction secured by Mr. Adun against the exercise.

The state government directed the demolition due to its illegality, lack of an approved building plan for a hotel, and its location across a road.

Court papers filed by Solicitor General of Edo State, Oluwole Iyamu SAN, revealed that the deed of transfer being paraded by Mr. Adun was not registered with the state government.

Bulldozers and caterpillars were mobilized to the site for the exercise, with security operatives guarding the area to prevent any disruption by Mr. Adun’s loyal thugs.

The security team leader cordoned off the area, reassuring residents and shop owners to not panic during the exercise.
