Democratic Party Nominates Kamala Harris for US Presidential Election

It has been confirmed that Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States, has secured the necessary delegates to be nominated as the Democratic Party’s candidate for the upcoming presidential election.

According to reports from Fox News, a virtual roll call was conducted to formally nominate Harris as the party’s presidential nominee, marking a significant moment in the election process.

During a call with her supporters, Harris expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am honored to be recognized as the presumptive Democratic nominee.”

Notably, the Democratic National Committee’s electronic voting to select the party’s nominee for the 2024 election occurred shortly after President Biden announced the end of his re-election campaign.

President Biden, rather than seeking re-election, endorsed Harris as his preferred successor to lead the Democratic Party’s campaign.

The Democratic Party has opted for a virtual roll call to finalize the nomination process, which is set to conclude on Monday, well in advance of the party’s convention scheduled to begin on August 19 at the United Center in Chicago.
