“The state is strategically aligning its security infrastructure, and the Delta State Security Trust Fund is undergoing preparations to become fully operational. This motivated our visit to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund for insights into their operational model.

“Our visit included detailed discussions with the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, where Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun, the Executive Secretary of the Board, shared their operational strategies and accomplishments,” he remarked.

Mayuku acknowledged the Lagos trust fund’s desire for the success of the Delta State Trusts Fund as well.

The success of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund was attributed by Mayuku to the legislation backing its establishment.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Lagos Trust Fund to showcase successful security initiatives supported by significant funding from the board, along with visits to relevant corporate entities collaborating with the board.

Reflecting on the positive outcomes of the visit, Mayuku assured that the State Government remains dedicated to enhancing citizen security by implementing practical suggestions gleaned from Lagos.

He emphasized that the knowledge acquired during the visit would be actively utilized to bolster the security efforts under Governor Sheriff Oborewori’s administration.

In a similar vein, Mr. Sam Osasa, the Executive Secretary of the Delta State Security Trust Fund, reiterated the board’s commitment to its foundational objectives.

Osasa reiterated, “The visit was invaluable, and the insights gained will be extensively applied to align with the State Governor’s agency objectives.”

He stressed the importance of fostering collaborative ties among security trust funds nationally to facilitate sharing of innovative concepts.

The visit concluded with an exchange of certificates, plaques, and mementos between the Delta team and their Lagos counterparts.
