Significant development in Delta state as one of the five new COVID-19 cases reported in the state has resulted in a fatality.
The individual passed away on Wednesday night after testing positive for the virus, bringing the total number of infections in Delta to 22. Of these, six individuals have recovered, while four have sadly lost their lives.
Mr. Charles Aniagwu, the Delta state Commissioner for Information, confirmed the fatality and also provided details on the affected local government areas. He revealed that four of the new cases were from Warri South, while one was from Oshimili North Local Government Areas.
Aniagwu stated;
“The latest fatality was the case from Oshimili North.
“The current count of active COVID-19 cases is 12, with six recoveries and four fatalities.”
