In the aftermath of Francis Ngannou’s defeat to Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight boxing match, Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Davido took a swipe at Canadian rapper Drake for losing a hefty £478,000 bet on the outcome.
Drake had shared the betting slip on his Instagram, only to face disappointment as Joshua clinched victory over Ngannou in just two rounds.
Gleefully trolling the OVO boss, Davido couldn’t resist rubbing salt in the wound with a Pidgin taunt, “Ur ticket don cut.”
Before the epic showdown, Davido had pledged his allegiance to Joshua due to the boxer’s Nigerian roots.
In a post on his X handle, Davido emphasized his support: “As a Nigerian, of course, I want AJ to win… However, there’s a unique quality in Francis and his intriguing story… You can’t help but admire him subtly!! But I’ll stay loyal to the Homeland.”
