Date for the Burial of Late Prophet Abidoye Confirmed


The burial of the late Head (Baba Aladura) of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, has been scheduled to take place at a memorial Museum and Park on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

At a press conference marking the commencement of the weeklong funeral program to be hosted at the Church’s Galilee Land headquarters, the chairman of the burial committee, Senior Special Apostle Aderemi Awode, made this announcement.

The demise of Abidoye, who passed away on November 12, 2023, at the remarkable age of 103, is a significant loss to the Church.

Awode shared that the late Abidoye, who played a pivotal role in establishing the Galilee Land as the new headquarters of the Church, will be interred in a Mausoleum within a memorial park named in his honor at the Church’s national headquarters.

“The late Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, our revered Baba Aladura, was instrumental in the creation of the Galilee Land headquarters of the C&S Movement Church. His final resting place will be a Mausoleum situated in a Museum and memorial park constructed within the Galilee Land headquarters on Saturday, April 27, 2024,” shared Awode.

“The Museum and memorial park will feature an e-library housing comprehensive information about the C&S Movement Church, including details about the church and its founder, His Eminence, Most Apostle Moses Orimolade,” he added.

Highlighting the remarkable life and contributions of the late spiritual leader, Awode stated, “Today, we gather to pay tribute to our beloved Spiritual father, who graced this world for an incredible 103 years. His life was a testament to service, faith, and steadfast devotion to his congregation and God Almighty. From his early ministry days to his final moments with us, Baba Aladura Abidoye exemplified true compassion and selflessness.

“Throughout his leadership, he exemplified grace and humility, impacting countless lives with his words, actions, and unwavering dedication to justice and peace,” he continued.

Awode further outlined the funeral program, set to commence from Monday, April 22, through Sunday, April 28, 2024, to be predominantly hosted at the Galilee Land headquarters. However, on Thursday, the body will be transported to his hometown, Omun-Aran in Irepodun local government area of Kwara state, for a commendation service.
