Dangote Cement Plc launches second season of ‘Dangote Bag of Goodies’ national consumer promotion

In a bid to economically empower its consumers with life-changing rewards, Dangote Cement Plc, leading cement producer in Africa, has unveiled the second season of its national consumer promotion ‘Dangote Bag of Goodies’, aimed at making 1000 consumers millionaires.

 

The Group Managing Director/CEO, Michel Puchercos, stated at the media press conference in Lagos on Wednesday 15th July 2020 that the promotion aims to reward new and existing consumers with essential palliatives, especially during the COVID-19 period, by creating 9 millionaires daily and a total of 1,000 millionaires in 16 weeks.

 

The consumer promo, commencing on the 15th of July, 2020 and concluding on the 15th of November, 2020, strives not only to provide palliatives for customers in a challenging year but also to stimulate the COVID-impacted construction and real estate industry for accelerated recovery. Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, is known for investing in Nigeria, and this promotion serves as another contribution to the larger economy by injecting over a billion naira.

In addition to the prize money, consumers will receive tricycles, motorcycles, television sets, refrigerators, Dangote Food goody packs, recharge cards and other exciting prizes. The Group Managing Director, Michel Puchercos, emphasized that the prizes offered in the promo are tailored to improve consumers’ standard of living and can have an economic ripple effect by kickstarting small-scale businesses, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when many families have lost their livelihoods.

 

“Dangote Cement ‘Bag of Goodies Promo Season 2’ aims to allow consumers to continue their projects while standing a chance of becoming a millionaire or winning prizes such as tricycles and motorcycles,” he said.

 

The promo has been validated by the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Lagos State Lottery Board, and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Council, Lagos Office. Nkiru Onuzulu, Deputy Director/Coordinator, NLRC (Lagos Zonal Office), expressed confidence in Dangote’s commitment to delivering on its promises to the consumers participating in the promo.

 

The General Sales and Marketing Manager of Dangote Cement Plc, Funmi Sanni, remarked that the season 2 promo was launched to delight Dangote’s consumers following the success of the debut promo in 2019.

To participate in the promotion, consumers need to purchase any promo bag of Dangote Cement during the promo period, extract the scratch card inserted in the bag, uncover it to see their winnings, and redeem their prize at the nearest Redemption Center. To win a million naira, they need to collect cards to spell D-A-N-G-O-T-E and win a star prize of N1mn Naira.

 

Sanni also advised consumers to scratch gently to reveal their prizes without invalidating their winnings.
