Customs Officer Caught on Viral Video Slapping Aide to Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa

 The video of a Nigerian customs officer slapping an aide to Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has been circulating on social media.

 

The clip, shared by human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, depicts the incident that took place on the Benin/Agbor Expressway on Saturday, April 7. The video captures the customs officer slapping Mr. Samson Nwachukwu in the presence of his colleague and a military officer.

 

During the altercation, the officer angrily questions Mr. Samson Nwachukwu’s identity after being informed that he is a Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor before delivering the slap. The video concludes with the military officer instructing the customs officer to “get this man down.”

 

Although Gwamnishu did not disclose the circumstances leading to the assault, he pledged to seek justice on behalf of Mr. Nwachukwu.
