A protest was witnessed this afternoon from COVID-19 patients isolated at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe. Their demonstration was rooted in grievances over alleged lack of food and medical attention.
The protest occurred just days after a similar event at the Kwadom Isolation Centre in Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area.
SP Mary Malum, the spokesperson for the state police command, confirmed the latest development to LIB. She stated that the situation has been brought under control and the protesting patients have been returned to the isolation center.
”The issue has been brought under control. They have been taken back to Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe. They have been returned back” she said
