Court dismisses two cases against Agada in Benue APC Crisis

Matthew Alyebo Esq, the Benue State Legal Adviser for the All Progressives Congress APC, achieved a significant victory in a Makurdi Court for the troubled state chairman of the party, Comrd. Austin Agada, in a surprising turn of events.

On Monday, Alyebo successfully presented a motion to dismiss two cases brought against the party’s State Chairman and another party leader, Benjamin Omakolo.

The cases, initiated by Moses Agaba and Benjamin Omakolo respectively, were thrown out due to the lack of diligence and abandonment by the plaintiffs.

Interestingly, the absence of the plaintiffs’ lawyer, JJ Usman (SAN), in court without prior notice or communication further strengthened the argument for dismissal.

Justice Polycarp Kwahar, in his ruling, concurred with Alyebo’s position, affirming that the plaintiffs had indeed deserted their cases.

Consequently, the two cases were dismissed, representing a significant triumph for the APC and its executives.

This outcome is perceived as a major victory for the party, enabling its leaders to concentrate on their political pursuits free from the encumbrance of pending legal actions.

Both parties could not be reached for comments when this report was compiled.
