Coroner Reveals Love Island Host, Caroline Flack, Took Her Own Life at Home

Caroline Flack, the former presenter of Love Island, tragically took her own life at her residence in east London, according to the findings of an inquest into her death today.

In her flat, the 40-year-old English radio and television host was discovered deceased on Saturday afternoon, just three weeks ahead of her scheduled court appearance in relation to an alleged assault on her boyfriend, Lewis Burton in December 2019.

Today, the inquest into her death was initiated at Poplar Coroner’s Court in east London, only four days after Caroline’s passing.

An officer from the coroner’s office, Sandra Polson, detailed that police were alerted while passing through Stoke Newington on Saturday, February 15. They discovered Ms. Flack hanging and carried out resuscitation efforts, which were then continued by paramedics, but sadly she was declared dead at the scene.

Her twin sister, Jody Flack, identified the body during the inquest. The brief hearing was adjourned until 5 August, with no family members present.

Today, the grieving family of Caroline Flack released an unreleased Instagram post written by the former Love Island host just days before her tragic death.

Shared by her mother Chris, the unpublished Instagram post from Caroline denied domestic abuse and detailed how her ‘whole world and future was swept from under her feet’ following her arrest for assault.
