The primary and secondary schools as well as tertiary institutions in Plateau have been ordered to shut down following the increasing cases of coronavirus in the state. The closure is expected to take place on or before Saturday, March 21. Prof. Danladi Atu, the Secretary to the Plateau State Government, stated that this decision was made to contain the spread of the virus in the state. The government stressed the need for citizens to maintain high levels of personal hygiene to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
