In Abuja, a man claiming to be a soldier was apprehended by taskforce officials for violating the lockdown order imposed by President Buhari to combat the spread of the Coronavirus.
The individual, who failed to show his ID card when confronted by the taskforce officials, was observed urging his passengers to disembark from the vehicle in an apparent attempt to evade responsibility for the offense.
President Buhari had decreed a 14-day ban on movement in Lagos, Ogun, and Abuja to mitigate the transmission of the Coronavirus.
A video posted online captures the moment when the alleged soldier, dressed in civilian clothes, pleaded profusely with the taskforce officials after being caught transporting passengers to an undisclosed location.
