Controversy Surrounds Ilebaye’s Outburst During Interview with Charles of Glitch Africa

The winner of Big Brother Niger All-Stars, Ilebaye, recently found herself at the center of controversy after a public outburst during an interview with Charles from Glitch Africa Studio.

Charles, a popular TV host and interviewer, took to social media to share his side of the story. He explained that he had invited Ilebaye for an interview at the studio. However, upon her arrival, he heard her screaming at her chaperone. Concerned about the commotion, Charles went outside to investigate. By the time he reached there, Ilebaye had left in her car without giving any explanation or meeting the production team.

Charles further elaborated that when Ilebaye arrived at the studio, they were already in the middle of recording with other guests, Pere and Adekunle. This meant that they couldn’t interrupt the ongoing session to accommodate her. Consequently, she had to wait for the next scheduled session with her and Cross.

In a direct and honest statement, Charles expressed his frustration, highlighting that Ilebaye’s victory on the reality show did not necessarily translate into exemplary character. He concluded by describing her behavior as disrespectful towards the entire team at Glitch Africa Studio.

On his Instagram story, Charles shared that during the incident, Ilebaye repeatedly questioned why she had to wait and expressed her indignation. He ended his posts with a thought-provoking remark: “Celebrity of yesterday, truly money doesn’t buy class.”

Reactions from Social Media

One user, annie_gram5, responded to the situation:

“It is quite funny because Ilebaye won’t even respond back to all these dragging. Baby girl was stressed, did you even watch her live on Arise IV? She was really tensed up. You coming on social media to post all these is immaturity. What you should have done was to call her, apologize, and reschedule the meeting. You just want to spoil her name. If she arrived when Adekunle and Pere were still filming, what you should have done was to tell her that you guys will reschedule the meeting instead of leaving her waiting!”

Another user, _pheight_, added:

“Abeggi, you started filming without her, expected her to wait longer than she did, and she shouldn’t go to other interviews?”

One user, tutuoru, shared:

“Baye had like 4 interviews we saw yesterday. Did you think maybe she was rushing to attend another interview since you weren’t ready for her? The best thing to do would have been to reschedule. You came and insulted her on social media without even knowing the cause of her leaving. Na wah.”

Another user, li.zzy9470, commented:

“That’s how she was in the house. Do someone wrong once, they confront her, she cries, then people started saying things to defend her.”
