Controversy over COZA’s Decision to Hold Church Service Amid Rising Coronavirus Cases

Amid increased cases of coronavirus in the country, Biodun Fatoyinbo, the senior pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), has sparked outrage by announcing that his church will be conducting services in its Abuja branches.

This announcement comes despite the restrictions imposed by the federal government on social gatherings and worship centers in response to the confirmed cases of the virus in the country.

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo made the announcement on Instagram after three cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Abuja, stating;

Hello family, we are eager to welcome you tomorrow, March 22nd, at 7:30 am at our #CentrePointCampus, Evelyn Event Centre, Gwarinpa. We assure worshippers of a clean and conducive environment for service. Your safety is our priority, and we are complying with the directives of the FCT Administration by ensuring: 1) Temperature checks using electronic thermometers 2) Provision of alcohol-based sanitizers 3) Adequate spacing between worshippers 4) Effective air flow systems 5) Above all, the Blood of Jesus protects us from this pestilence.
See you there and remember #FearNot #CovenantOfProtection #Exploits #BetterDaysAhead
